A great time was had at the 2009 Nepean District Camp held at Cataract.

The theme of the camp was "Transport" with many of the activities being based on that theme.

Arriving on Friday night 9 of our cubs, 2 leaders and 2 parents in support along with over 50 cubs & leader from other Nepean groups settled in for a great weekend of fun & activities. A night hike following some of the many trails around cataract lead by non other than our own "Dingo" helped to blow off some of the energy of our 50 young charges.

A beautiful Saturday had the cubs demolishing a hot breakfast before trying their hands at caving in the Great Cataract Chasms.

A hearty lunch followed before the group all tried their hands at the many obstacles of "Challenge Valley". A great time was had by all (even Toms Mum!!) before some well needed hot showers & clean clothes before a welcome dinner.

"Zaphod" lead a rousing campfire before all our cubs crashed out after a very busy day.

Sunday was an equally inviting day which was spent on 3 different bases all involving Billy Carts. We do have some future champions among us all doing well in the slalom, traffic rules and hair raising down hill events.

After lunch another group hike along the nature trails to learn & follow trail markers & trail signs.

Home for some rest, clean clothes and Hot shower completed a very successful & fun filled camp.
